Stacy developed her keen sense of style in Fashion Editorial. After growing up in Manhattan, she graduated Phi Beta Kappa from Vassar College with a double degree in 20th Century Philosophy and German Literature. She began her career at a magazine as a fashion assistant and later returned to Condé Nast as a Senior Fashion Editor at Mademoiselle. She has styled fashion photos for such varied editorial publications as Italian D, Nylon and Contents.
Stacy has worked with a number of celebrities as well as having consulted on fashion shows for many couture designers.
Stacy sits on the Board of Directors for Inspiring Divas—an organization committed to building self-esteem in young women—and regularly devotes time to Step Up Women’s Network. She has consulted for numerous corporations and has acted as spokesperson for many brands including Procter & Gamble. She speaks on the subject of style for charities and corporations such as Starwood Hotels and has given seminars for the Learning Annex in New York City. In 2006, she spoke at Harvard University on the connection between building self-esteem and personal style.
Her first book on style by body type (co-written with Clinton Kelly), entitled Dress Your Best, was published in September 2005 to stellar reviews.
