I have used Pantene Curly Mousse for years now! It is the only consumer brand that controls frizz, adds shine, and enhances my curls. I constantly get comments from strangers about how great my hair looks and always get asked what product I use. I even got my mother hooked :) I have no idea what I would ever do without it - hope it sticks around for a long time!!!

It's still the best out there, despite the change a few years ago. I did notice the difference, and would like the old formula back, BUT I still absolutely LOVE this product and don't know what I would do without it. It's the one thing I would not want to live without. No joke. I don't like the price increases either, since I go through about 1-2 cans a week. Please don't change it any more (unless you are going back to old formula). Everyone asks me about my curls and what I use and I tell everyone about your product. They've all been happy too!

I have naturally curly hair and have been using this product for years. It is the ONLY product on the market that I have found that controls my curls without allowing them to be frizzy or too stiff. Please do not ever get rid of this product!

This was my first time using mousse on my 4b, natural hair. I must say, I am impressed! My curls are beautifully defined and touchable, with very little shrinkage.

Curly mousse works great. I'm getting lots of compliment from friends and coworkers. It's stay in hair all day. The nozzle hasn't broke like other brands I have tried. The hair just stay in place . No more frizz look. Please keep on making it.

I have been using the old formula (Level 3) for a few years and it was perfect for my hair. It gave my hair sheen, body and the perfect control. Recently, my mother tried the old formula and wanted to get some for her hair. Now, not available!!! All the formulas are the same....Level 4. Now my hair has less body and stiff. Since, there are different hair types why would you gear to only one formula? Why was it changed? Can someone answer those questions and let me know.

So i absolutely fell in love with the spray gel from the curly line and i had seen a video on youtube and this girl said she liked the way the gel and the spray gel worked together on her hair. Since i only had the spray gel i had decided to go back and get the actual gel. Well i went and they were out of the gel so i got the mousse and i really regret buying it. I tried it with the spray gel (which worked perfectly fine alone) and it made the bottom half of my curls very crunchy and the top was frizzy. I did try it alone and it gave me frizzy curls all over and my ends looked crazy. Bottom line this is not something id reccomend.

Before Pantene changed its formula, this product was the best on the market. It reduced frizz, increased bounce and defined my curls without too much crunch or stickiness. I am sad to say this new formula does none of these things for my hair. I have been a faithful fan of Pantene mousse for many, many years, but I have now switched to competitors' products (which remain inferior to Pantene's old recipe). I sincerely hope the company responds to the consistent and near-unanimous feedback on this website and brings the old formula back. I await the day!

I was very unsatisfied with this product. I have very healthy hair, and generally can use just about any mousse or curl gel on my hair and it looks fine, but not this one. I picked it because I like mousse and I like Pantene's dry to moisturized curls shampoo and conditioner, but I was not impressed with this product. First of all, the pump is terrible. Sometimes nothing comes out no matter what I do, and on the times that it does come out, it comes out all liquid. I thought this might be a defective one, but after researching other reviews online, I see that this is a typical problem for this product. Secondly, it makes my hair greasy, and I do not have greasy hair normally. Thirdly, it has done nothing for me in the way of shaping my curls, controlling frizz, etc. If anything, I think my hair looks worse when I use this product than when I use nothing at all. It makes it look like I haven't showered in days and have bedhead. It also makes my hair take FOREVER to dry and the curls are VERY crunchy, like having Cheetos on my head. I will not buy this again.

I really liked this product. However I keep getting defective pumps. I'll shake the product and then press on the pump. It takes forever to come out. Then when it finally does come out it's watery instead of like foam. This has happened on 3 different purchases. Unless they change the pump I will have to change brands. However, I love the Shampoo and Conditioner for Curly Heads.

I have always been an advocate of Pantene because I fell in love with the products in the curly hair line years ago. I LOVED the way the old formula (level 3) made my curls look, feel, and smell. I used to get so many compliments, and always kept multiple cans on hand.
I have been so disappointed with the new line. I've been trying to use the new formula (level 4) in different ways by using different amounts of mousse and by applying it to wetter or drier hair than I normally would. Nothing has helped. Although the new formula still smells good, it does not make my hair look nearly as good as it used to. My curls look wet, they are stringy and hard, and they don't have any body. My hair lacks all of the flexibility it used to have. One friend even made a comment on how hard my hair felt while exchanging hugs. I feel like I put a heavy sticky gel in my hair, and not mousse.
It's been a nightmare trying to find a product that makes my hair look as pretty as it used to. Pantene, can't you offer the old formula in addition to the new one? Nothing can replace it.

I have used the old product for 3+ years and I loved it sooo much. I have fine curly hair that is long down to my waist. The old product gave me beautiful soft bouncy defined curls without the crunch and I got so many compliments on my hair. The product was affordable and much better than more expensive curling products. The new product makes my hair frizzy, dull, and does nothing for my curls. My curls are limp, lifeless, and frizzy. Please bring back the old product even your gel spray doesn't work for me.

I started using the curl mousse from pantene when it first came out. Back when it was in the old packaging with white can. I LOVED IT! Gave me beautiful bouncy curls when used with a diffuser with minimal frizz that lasted most of the day. The new product is awful I am so dissappointed with it. Its very thin so I have to use twice the amount of product and my curls are not at all defined and full of frizz. By the end of the day it looks like I brushed my curls dry with a brush and left for school. Not recommended at all or they should bring back the old formula the new formula has such poor foam stability that it evaporates almost before being applied to my hair.

I am so disappointed and sad, I have been using this product since 2000. It was great on my curly hair. I got the new mousse and it's horrible. They changed from level 3to 4 and now it acts like a gel without flexibility. Please get us back our old mousse. I hate to look for a new product.

I am so depressed that this product has changed! Do not even waste your money buying it now. it used to be hands down, the best thing on the market for curly hair. I went through a bottle like every week or two, and could awalys rely on having even, non-frizzy, non-sticky curls. WHY PANTENE?!?!?!? now i have to go back to the traumatic trial and error period of searching for a replacement. :(

Im really sad that the old product is not available anymore. I used to use the level #3 curl mousse. I might as well just copy what the other review says cause she said it for me...

The old product was perfect. My hair was evenly curly all over and my curls were soft and pretty. The new product is not good. It is really heavy and sticky. It has the same effect as cheap extra strong hold gel. It makes my hair crunchy and wet looking and weighs down my curls into waves. Unless you are going for the look of wet hair don't get this product.

I agree with all previous reviews. I am an African American with very short curly hair. I loved the way the old Pro-V Curls Mousse defined my curls, easy to use foam application and left my hair feeling lovely. I always get compliments on my hair (it is also has a great deal of silver in it, especially around the face and the old mousse emphasized it).
Don't fix what isn't broke! Bring back the old product, please.

Seriously I am on the exact same page as the other reviewers! WHY WOULD YOU CHANGE SUCH AN AWESOME PRODUCT? The last formula was the best. Affordable (I go through a bottle a week) smelled nice, made my curls defined yet soft & not crunchy. My fiance loves my hair with the old product this one not at all. The new product seriously is aweful. First off, for about a month everywhere I went had all of the other curls products available but did not have the mousse in stock in the new or the old. I was forced to try another product/brand. Last week I FINALLY saw the new curls in stock & prayed it was just a new branding rollout & was really excited to have my old mousse back. I have now been using the new kind for 5 days and each day I hope for better but to no avail. It feels like dry foam in my hands and it has poor coverage (dissapears too fast). If you add more when you think you missed an area it just gets extra hard and crunchy. My hair turns out flat and crunchy. My curls are defined but no body. And if you miss a spot like I did today without realizing it you end up with a strand of super frizz! This NEVER happened with the old product and I cant even tell you how long I have been using it for now. BTW, this is coming from a girl who could NEVER find a product that worked well on my hair. Sorry to say but Pantene you lost my vote big time! Should have added a product not wiped out a good one. I am super bummed on this and will be spending my money on another brand as this one is no good to me any longer! PLEASE bring back the old formula!!

I have used pantene products since they have been on the market. I have long naturally curly hair and have always loved the curly shampoo, mouse, and hairspray. NOT anymore, I am so DISAPPOINTED with these new products. I will not be using them anymore, I will look for another solution. It just amazes me that a company who has a winning product would change it and come up with this HORRIBLE replacement. If it isn't broke, don't fix it!

I've used Pantene Restoratives for frizzy hair for years. It was great and I often had compliments. This new stuff is TERRIBLE. My hair looks terrible and feels worse. My hair is dry and frizzy after using the new Curly products and that is exactly what I wanted to prevent! I was a dedicated customer who often referred others to Pantene products. Now I tell everyone Do not use these new ones! I rated it a 1 because the system wouldn't let me rate it a 0.

I've been using Pantene for almost two years now for my VERY curly hair, and I've loved it! I've never liked my hair and high school was making me really conscious of it, but using Pantene's curl mousse made me love it. I got complements all the time, especially on the way it smelled! I would actually have people come up to me and sniff it, haha.
THEY DIDN'T NEED TO CHANGE IT! when they changed the bottle I was a little wary, and then I noticed that they actually changed the product too! The hold is a lot heavier, makes my hair look crazier and because of the new bottle design it has actually flown out of my hands when I was shaking it and BROKE. TWICE. And if I could deal with all that, I'm not fond of the new smell! Don't think I'll be getting many complements any time soon...
Pantene I'm begging you, bring the old product back! Don't try to fix something that aint broke!
